Live Music- Dolce
Sandy and George decided music builds better bridges then their ways of old. So they put their old ways aside and play. Together they share their love of music through performances, jam sessions and teaching. They brought along a little country, a lot of soul and some sounds that will recreate the images of memories both long ago and present. Sandy Dhuyvetter and George Powell take their audiences around the world with sounds that are exciting, new and refreshing.
Sandy and George grew up playing music from an early age, Sandy was six years old while George was an early teenager when he began playing the guitar. They were both taught that all music should be considered and every note counts, along with a thought that music is not a competition but rather a dialogue.
Sandy and George experiment as a duet and work with other musicians to come up with the best harmonies possible.
Together with a wonderfully dedicated group of people they put on a one day music and art event in Northport, MI. called Leelanau UnCaged. (www.LeelanauUnCaged.com). Sandy serves as the Director and George is the music chairman where his committee selects over 35 performers to play on 5 stages. It is truly one of the crowning jewels of Leelanau County.
